This is a fine antique two color gilt bronze Tibetan buddha statue early 20th century. The buddha is sitting on a lotus has some type of etched marking on the bottom. The Bhumisparsa Mudra is known as the “touching the Earth”. When the right open palm is facing down reaching towards the ground the gesture symbolizes the moment of the Buddha’s awakening. Buddha measures 9“ high by 5” wide, Excellent condition commensurate with age no damages.
