Juan Clara (1875-1958) Original Antique Whimsical Child Gilt Bronze

This is a beautiful antique original bronze by important Spanish artist Juan Clara c.1920. The bronze depicts a lifelike happy smiling child that is sitting with a large hat. The bronze is signed Juan Clara numbered 65. It has its original gilt patina the bronze is in excellent condition, 4 3/4" height, by 2 3/4" Wide Juan Clara was an important Spanish sculptor who specialized in sculpting children. She worked in France. She was born in (1875-1959) Since 2011 the record price for this artist at auction is $7,714 USD for MARBRE "JEUNE FEMME A LA LYRE", sold at Oise Auctions in 2019. The artist died in 1958.
