Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Vienna Bronze Lady and Cherub Signed A. Zehle. The bronze also has the foundry mark K.K. KUNST-ERZGIESSERES WIEN. This is a beautiful Art Nouveau antique Vienna bronze sculpture depicting a lovely lady kissing a cherub who has his left arm around her and his right hand holding her right forearm. She looks lovingly at the cherub as he is about to kiss her. She holds in her hands a flower and foliate design candle holder. The backs of the candleholders have a hole drilled, it appears someone intended to electrify this at one time. One could still do that if so desired. This is a beautiful antique Art Nouveau Vienna bronze sculpture signed A. ZEHLE on the side near her right foot. It is inscribed K.K. KUNST-ERZGIESSERES WIEN on the back bottom behind the lady. This is a gorgeous bronze it measures 14-1/4 inches high to the top of the candleholder in her right hand. From the bottom to the tip of the cherub's wing it measures 12 inches high. Weight 4.2 pounds. This is a very rare antique Vienna bronze sculpture in excellent condition. Have not seen this image or any work by this sculptor before. It is a very rare item.
