Antique Sterling Silver Enamel Watch Holder & Watch. The watch holder has a beautiful shape and design with lavender flowers and gilt highlights along the surface of the guilloche enamel. It has rubbed English silver markings of a walking lion, anchor and date letter m and maker's mark SM indicating this was made in Birmingham England in 1911. The markings are rubbed but can be seen under magnification. With this watch holder, is a high quality rare antique sterling silver case Swiss pocket watch in an English 19th century sterling silver case marked with a walking lion, anchor and date letter b. The watch is a very high quality Swiss movement. It has black Roman numeral markers, gold hands, and a subsidiary second hand dial. It measures 2 inches wide from side to side, from the bottom to the top of the watch ring it measures 2-3/4 inches high. The watch face is in excellent condition with no cracks or any issues. The watch comes with its original key. It is a beautiful key wind movement in excellent condition. I have wound the watch it is running strong and keeps good time. Both the watch and holder are in great condition. The base of the watch holder measures 5-1/8 inches high, 5 inches wide, the top measures 3-7/8 inches wide. The watch fits perfectly in the watch holder which has an easel back display element allowing it to be placed on a table top, bureau, nightstand, or wherever one might choose to display it.
