Antique Dresden C.1830 Womans Face Figurative Hand Painted Porcelain Inkwell. This is a beautiful and rare hand painted inkwell designed by Carl Gotthelf c.1827. The inkwell depicts an elderly woman with open mouth. As the old woman's face crafted ink bottle with open mouth (Ink tank), "ears" as a spring holder and a pierced hood as a sand spreader. The inkwell is in excellent condition with its original hand painting still intact. Porcelain measures 4 ¼” by 3 ½”, 2 ¾” high. The same model sold at a German auction for 420 Euros.
