Rare Union Porcelain Works Hand Painted Light Pink Oyster Plate. This is a beautiful rare oyster plate made by Union Porcelain Works in 1881. The oyster plate has a beautiful design with six oyster wells and a clam for the sauce. The plate has a hand painted sea life design with shells, crabs, and seaweed with a light pink backround and gold highlights. It is marked with a UPW hallmark pat. Jan. 4 1881. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Very minor losses to the paint. Measures 10 1/4" by 7 3/4" wide.
